Well, it’s only been 5 years since I first announced I was looking to re-
Hopefully this will be a lot more readable on different browsers and devices now, it will certainly be a lot easier for me to maintain. The original site was not very exciting when I first did it, it’s certainly long in the tooth nowadays and has been throwing up a few problems of late so time for a change…
It’s going to take me a few days to re-
I would also like to know if anyone finds it difficult to use on a mobile device. I have tested on several smartphones and tablets and find this desktop site is fine, but if not I will add mobile pages. Also I have not tried any Apple devices and they are notorious for doing things their own way.
Finally, until I get the new Downloads page sorted, here are the fixtures in case anyone needs them.

That’s all before Christmas folks. Hope you all have a great Festive Season and see you all in January.
5th January 2016
Over the festive season I’ve been fiddling with technical bits of the website rather than putting up the previous content, so there’s not much new to see yet. One thing I have been doing though is adding proper icons, so if you bookmark this site at all -
Oh, and as we are into the new year could I ask those who have not yet paid their subs to look into it please.

2nd February 2016
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Keith Tarrant, Quizmaster for the Jolly Farmer A and husband of team member Lynn, who suffered a sudden stroke recently and died a few days later. The team has, under its various guises, played in the league for as long as I can remember so I’m sure most of you will have encountered Keith at one time or another. Deepest sympathies go out to Lynn and family.
Keith’s funeral will be held this Thursday, 4th February. Details can be found here for anyone who wishes to pay their respects. I hope to be attending on behalf of the league and will be making a donation to Lynn’s nominated cause, the Stroke Association.

As has occasionally happened before, our question setter will be away for a week and so will be posting two sets of questions this week, for the 22nd and the 29th. They should be clearly marked but please take extra care. Could I particularly ask the Cricketers team to warn the pub as they are the only establishment who will not be expecting to host a game on the 22nd and I wouldn’t like them to panic when the papers arrive! Cheers!

With the results in for tonight we have a clear winner already in Division 2.
With 3 games to go and a 7 point lead in the bag it’s congratulations to Jo and her team Bat & Ball B who now cannot be caught.
23rd February 2016
Division 1 Champions this year are again Albion A, whose win last night sees them with an unassailable lead, even if it was effectively all over last week due to the large match points advantage.
So I must thank my team mates Oliver, Ken, Harvey and Richard for their fantastic contributions this season.
But It’s not all done and dusted yet! Second spots are still to be decided and a Jolly Farmer A win at the Bat & Ball next week would set up an interesting final round in division 1. In div 2 three teams are in contention and with the top two of those each having to face the mighty Bat & Ball B things should be pretty tight there as well.

There’s no messing around with the Trophy Presentation and BFQ this year, which will be held at The Albion on the 21st March. Proceedings start at 8.30 as usual but please try and get along in good time to get a drink & find a seat.
As always the BFQ is open to anyone concerned with the quiz -
And as usual I would ask teams to let me know how many people are likely to be attending, even if you are not coming, so that Mandy the landlady has some idea of how many to cater for. Thanks.
As usual I look forward to seeing all of you on the 21st.

Well the Farnham Herald has eventually published my piece about our Silver Jubilee Year presentation and Big Friendly Quiz! Please form orderly queues when rushing out to buy your souvenir copies.
If nothing else it reminds me that I didn’t actually post anything about the evening this year, so here goes…
21st March saw our 25th Annual Presentation and Big Friendly Quiz evening, at The Albion Tavern. Another good turnout saw the winning teams presented with their trophies and certificates, followed by the traditional Big Friendly Quiz during which hosts Mandy and Davy provided plenty of fine refreshments. The BFQ honours this year went to Albion A, followed by Bat & Ball B and Hale Nomads.
Pictured are the division winning teams with the trophies: (l-
And talking of images, I have added a Roll of Honour page to which I have added all the BFQ winners pictures I could find, some of which have not appeared before.
